Device Insight wins the Industry Award 2018 in the category “IT and Industry” with the cloud-based Internet of Things platform CENTERSIGHT NG. The platform for medium-sized companies collects and analyzes data of machines, vehicles, plants and devices according to the requirements of the individual industrial environment. It is used in more than 150 projects, for instance at Kärcher, the world’s leading supplier of cleaning technology.

The industry prize is awarded by an independent panel of experts consisting of professors, scientists, industry experts and journalists to the most advanced and innovative industry solutions in 14 categories from automotive, medical technology to suppliers. The IoT platform CENTERSIGHT NG convinced the jury with one million connected devices that can be globally scaled in the public cloud. Production managers benefit from high reliability, the possibility of easy international expansion and the development of new business models with innovative services.

CENTERSIGHTNG integrates industrial analytics and machine learning

Maintenance and service can thus be planned in time and failures can be avoided. This is an important criterion for the cleaning technology manufacturer Kärcher, a long-standing Device Insight customer, who can supply its clients with all relevant fleet management information in a timely and cost-saving manner.

“By using our IoT platform CENTERSIGHT NG, industrial companies basically implement smart services. These new services provide for example information about technical faults or wear, allow predictive maintenance, increase security – and therefore increase revenue,” explains Paul Martin Halm, Head of Product Management at Device Insight. A concrete example: A manufacturer of welding robots could increase the availability of devices by 5 percent within one year through predictive maintenance.

CEO Reinhold Stammeier is delighted about the award and strengthens that the IoT platform CENTERSIGHT NG offers medium-sized businesses a fast time-to-market for digitization:
