Around 16 years ago, Reinhold Stammeier founded Device Insight, a pioneer in the field of Internet of Things, developing it into a successful technology specialist. After more than 40 years of active professional life, the graduate computer scientist is now retiring. Two co-founders, Stefan Hübner and Thomas Stammeier, will take over the management of Device Insight together with Marten Schirge, who has been part of the company since 2012.
“I am very pleased to be able to transfer the management of Device Insight to my long-standing colleagues and business partners, who together with me have built this company from the IoT start-up of the first hour to the successful ‘grown-up’ with more than 100 employees today”, says Reinhold Stammeier. “I am confident that they will continue the company’s dynamic growth and drive innovation in the IoT / IIoT area in close cooperation with our customers.”
Management trio with many years of leadership and technology expertise
Stefan Hübner will assume the role of CEO in the new managing director trio. The graduate engineer founded Device Insight together with Reinhold Stammeier and Thomas Stammeier and was previously CFO, responsible for operations, HR and finance. He will be supported by Thomas Stammeier, Technical Director, responsible for product development, project business and research and development, and Marten Schirge, responsible for sales, marketing and product management. All three share many years of experience in the implementation of complex Internet of Things projects in a wide variety of industries.
“Our goal is to build on the great work Reinhold Stammeier carried out over the years”, explains Stefan Hübner. “This will mean growing continuously but also sustainably, winning new customers and further expanding our service portfolio with a view to future technologies such as artificial intelligence, data analytics and predictive maintenance. At the same time, we are working on becoming more agile as an organization and thus able to react more flexibly to new customer and market requirements.”
